Sarah Ash Receives Awards in Baltimore

Sarah AshSarah Ash received her NSCAA All-American and Scholar-Athlete All-American awards in Baltimore, January 19th, 2008.

She is pictured to the right at the awards ceremony with soccer icons Claudio Reyna and Kristine Lilly.

This marked the first All-America selection for Ash who becomes the seventh NSCAA All-American under 11 year head coach Gail Murphy. She started all 22 games for the Big Red in 2007 and has played in 68 career contests, scoring 17 goals and 13 assists.  Ash was named the North Coast Athletic Conference's Offensive Player of the Year in November and also joined two of her teammates on the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District squad after posting a 3.66 grade point average as a Spanish and psychology double major.
