The National Soccer Coaches Association of America has honored the Denison University women's soccer team with their "Team Academic Award" given annually to schools which post a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

The Denison team posted an impressive team GPA of 3.33 which was the second highest in the nine-team North Coast Athletic Conference. This is the third consecutive season that the Big Red have earned the Team Academic Award given by the NSCAA.

The Big Red finished the season with a 15-5-2 record and were ranked 22nd in the final NSCAA Division III top-25 coaches poll. For the second consecutive season the Big Red advanced to the NCAA Tournament Sectional (round of 16).
