
Hoch & Cochran Named to
ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District
Big Red senior Tammy Hoch and junior Kim Cochran were named to ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District IV Team. Hoch was named to the first team and Cochran the third. With Hoch's first team nomination, she advances to the national ballot with the possibility of being named Academic All-America.
Hoch (top left), a senior co-captain, is a four-year starter for the Big Red at her midfield position. She currently leads Denison in goals with nine and is second in scoring. Over her four year career, she has appeared in 78 games while scoring 25 goals and seven assists. Hoch was also a two time NCAC second-team pick during her sophomore and junior seasons.
Cochran (bottom left), a junior, is a three year starter at defender for the Big Red. She has been a catalyst to a defense that has recorded 36 shutouts in her 61 career games. Cochran has been named to the NCAC first-team and All Great Lakes Region in her freshman and sophomore seasons.
Created in 1952 by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Teams Program is a premier, nationwide college scholar-athlete awards program. It recognizes 816 outstanding student-athletes annually in Division I,II,II and NAIA covering all NCAA championship sports.
