Case Western Reserve and Denison play to scoreless tie

September 28, 2005: The Case Western Reserve Spartans went the distance with the sixth ranked Denison University women’s soccer team and came away with a 0-0 tie in double overtime on Wednesday night.

The Big Red were on the offensive, taking 30 shots but couldn’t come up with the game-winner. CWRU goalkeeper Lauren Gaeta recorded 16 saves while DU keeper Liz Gillette finished with four saves.

Denison (6-2-1) will travel to Wittenberg on Sunday for a 1 p.m. clash with the Tigers. With the tie, Case Western Reserve improves to 3-5-2 on the year.
